Benefits of Mediation
The other person will have to agree to come a mediation. You are free to leave at any time.
Anything discussed in the mediation is confidential to the parties and the mediator, except as is required by law.
Most mediations take place over one or more sessions, whereas using the legal process can take months or even years.
Most mediations cost very little when compared to taking legal action.
Informal and flexible
In a mediation we do not need to follow ‘rules of evidence’ and other legal requirements. As long as you both agree, and the law allows, we can do anything to make the process work for you.
Mediation is less stressful than going to Court, because I am there to help you talk to each other so that you feel heard.
More likely to repair relationships
If you are going to have to communicate with the other person in the future, the mediation process can help you to repair your relationship, so that you can communicate more effectively. A bonus of mediation is that it usually gives you tools to resolve issues in the future.
